In this system one portion of the medical compound and nine parts of the vehicle are used(ratio of 1:9. 1+9=10). It is indicated by letter "X" which is used for 10 in latin.
Centesimal System
In this system, 1 portion of the medical material and 99 parts of the vehicle are used (ratio of 1:99, 1+99=100). It is indicated by letter "C" which is used for 100 in latin.
